We have HUGE news. The Heartbeat Act has passed the first major hurdle! On Wednesday, February 22nd, the Health & Human Services Committee voted to advance LB626, the Nebraska Heartbeat Act, to the floor for debate. The Committee voted four in favor, two against, while State Senator Lynne Walz was absent. - SPEAK UP | Tell your Senator to support LB626 during each round of debate using our Action Center.
Thank you for taking action to protect preborn babies in Nebraska! Keep up with the Nebraska Heartbeat Act, as it has three rounds of debate to get through. We expect a filibuster at each juncture, which requires 33 votes to overcome.
